Hanauma Bay :)

This weekend me and my roommate Whitney went to Hanauma Bay.. it was really cool!! We went snorkling and saw fish.. Supposedly this is one of the best snorkling places on Oahu?? It was pretty good.. i havent been Sharks Cove yet (to the other place they say is real good) but ill compare them when i do!! It took us about 3 and a half hours to get there because we had to transfer buses and we got on the wrong bus a few times.. ha it was quite the trip but we made a good time out of it.. and we have good stories.. I really liked it though the water is such a beautiful color and Im really glad i got to experience it!

Waimea Valley Gardens..

I went to the Waimea valley gardens with Ashley and it was so pretty.. Their are all sorts of fun things to see there.. We saw a peacock, rooster, many different kinds of trees and leaves, flowers, an endangered duck.. not sure the name but it had a red beak, waimea falls, and so many other things.. it was great needless to say.. I'm pretty sure peacocks are one of my most favorite animals now.. :)

BEACH DAYS!

We went to the beach as much as we could.. We saw turtles, made a sand castle, played with our shadows, saw such big waves.. (over 10 ft. high), and i had a photo shoot (Ashley wanted to practice her photography skills with me!!) It was a good time!!

Ashley is so good at this.. She's definitely got skills!!

Eggs n' Things!!

Egg's n' Things is the BEST breakfast place ever.. I LOVED it!! I definitely want to go there again before i leave.. Ashley had waffles with a hugh amount of whip cream and i had the best omelet i've ever tasted with cooked potatoes.. so scrumptious!! Me and Ashley got up early Thursday morning but didn't end up getting there until 11 or 12 and it was really busy.. but it was so worth the wait!! I would recommend this to anyone!! :)

-Dole Plantation-

Hey.. well me and Ashley went to the Dole Plantation and had pineapple ice cream.. it was delicious!! We went around and looked at the baby pineapples and got a picture with our heads in a pile of pineapples.. it was fun.. i found out that my name in hawaiian is Kinipela- which i thought was really pretty.. ha!! We had a blast i'm so glad i got to experience it!!

Ashley and Darci Visit!!

Life is good.. Darci came about a week and a half ago and left today.. I'm so glad she came!! We went to the beach a couple of time and we went and got acai bowls and just played.. it was a blast!! I hope she had a good time.. it's better than the 23 inches of snow in Logan by far!! ha.. Ashley came on the weekend and she is staying this week.. We've been to the beach, made a sand castle, bargained with some women at the swap meet.. its been a good time and i'm thankful that they got to come see me.. I'm soo lucky!! :)

La'ie Falls!

ALOHA!! Well yesterday i hiked up with some friends to La'ie Falls. It took about an hour and a half up and back down it wasn't the hardest hike but i haven't been on a hike in a while so i'm pretty achey today!! It was so pretty.. everything is sooo green! When we got to the waterfall (it wasn't that big) everyone was ready to get in the water.. but we soon realized how cold it was.. i wasn't going to get in but i didn't want to regret not getting in so i got in and it was freezong, extremely cold!! After swimming we headed back down and i came home with a billion mesquito bites.. ha!! i hate those things! All in all it was a good day though.. i definitely want to go on some more hikes.. the mountains here are gorgeous! :)
